PM Modi Addresses 30,000 Indians In Melbourne

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 30,000 Indians at the ‘Melbourne Meets Modi’ event during his two-day visit to Australia. PM Modi’s event is being held at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. More than 30,000 Indians have arrived at the ‘Melbourne Meets Modi’ event. This is the largest gathering ever for any world leader in Australia.

PM Modi began his address with ‘Vanakkam Melbourne’. He said, ‘This show is housefull. It is blockbuster. Before I begin my speech, all of you should honor the Premier of Victoria and my friend the Prime Minister by turning on the flashlight of your mobile phone.’

He said- I have come to Australia for the third time in 12 years, that is, I have completed a hat-trick. The biggest role in my coming and in Australia-India relations is that of your people. This show is housefull.

In this program, Australian PM Anthony Albanese said, ‘The energy that is felt here tonight reflects the Australia-India partnership. It is such an enthusiasm and excitement that takes forward the positivity and potential of both our countries and people.’ He said that when he visited India twice as Prime Minister, the beauty and vibrancy of the place captivated his mind.

Earlier, the uranium deal between India and Australia was signed. In Melbourne, PM Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albanese announced agreements in several areas including defense, trade, energy, space and critical minerals in a joint press conference after the meeting. Modi said- India getting uranium from Australia will strengthen India’s clean energy mission. India and Australia will also jointly develop the Critical Minerals Corridor. A space tracking terminal will be built on Cocos (Keeling) Islands, which will help India’s Gaganyaan mission.
