Putin To Visit India To Attend BRICS Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Delhi to attend the BRICS summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin will hold a bilateral meeting before the BRICS leaders’ meeting in New Delhi on September 11. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the meeting.

He said that Russia considers India as its strategic partner and the relations between the two countries are very important for it. Dmitry Peskov said that Russia will promote security, economic, financial and cultural cooperation at the BRICS summit. He said that Russia supports the idea of ​​inviting new countries to join various forms of cooperation under BRICS.

Meanwhile, on the question related to India’s help in peace with Ukraine, he said that Russia welcomes India’s willingness to contribute to the efforts for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis.
