White House Launches ‘Trump TV’ After TV Networks Halt Live Coverage Of The President

The US White House announced the launch of “Trump TV” on Monday. This digital network will broadcast content related to the Trump administration 24 hours a day. Its launch comes amidst an ongoing dispute between Trump and the American media.

On September 18, Trump had banned CNN, MSNBC, and Politico from the White House. He accused them of spreading “fake news” and threatened action against other media organizations.

In protest against this ban, US TV networks have halted live coverage of Trump. His departure from the White House helipad was not broadcast live. Furthermore, his speech at the United Nations General Assembly will not be broadcast live either. It is against this backdrop that the White House has now launched Trump TV.
