
The Election Commission of India has issued a letter amending the previously announced schedule for SIR in Punjab. Giving information in this regard, Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Anindita Mitra said that the work of distribution of door-to-door enumeration forms will continue till August 3. Similarly, the work of rationalization of polling booths will also be done till August 3.
The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab said that the draft of voter lists will be published on August 13. He informed that objections and claims regarding voter lists can be submitted from August 13 to September 12, while these objections and claims will be disposed of from August 13 to October 08.
The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab informed that the final voter lists will be published on October 12. Anindita Mitra appealed to all eligible citizens to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision to ensure that their electoral details are completely correct and up to date, thus contributing to free, fair and transparent elections.
