Panjab University Entrance Exam Concludes; 5,784 Candidates Appear
Exam For UILS's Five-Year Integrated Law Courses Conducted Peacefully; 91.71% Attendance Recorded
The entrance examination held for admission to the five-year integrated BA/B.Com, LL.B. (Hons.) courses across various institutes of Panjab University concluded successfully. A total of 5,784 candidates participated in this examination.
This entrance exam was conducted for courses offered by the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) and its regional centers Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana. UILS is a premier constituent department of PU and has established itself as one of the leading law institutes in the region.
Admission Process And Seat Details
Admission to the BA/B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) programs at PU is based on the marks obtained in both the entrance examination and the qualifying examination (+2 level). The weightage for both components has been fixed at 50 percent each.
Regarding seat availability, there are 180 seats each for the BA LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) courses at the UILS, PU campus. Meanwhile, 60 seats for the BA LL.B. (Hons.) course have been allocated at the regional center in Ludhiana, and another 60 seats have been reserved at the Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre in Hoshiarpur.
Exam Held At 20 Centers
Punjab University’s Controller of Examinations, Professor Jagat Bhushan, stated that a total of 6,307 candidates had applied for the entrance examination, out of whom 91.71 percent actually appeared for the test.
He further informed that a total of 20 centers were designated for the examination; 8 of these centers were established within the PU campus, while 12 were set up across various colleges in Chandigarh.
Robust Security And Surveillance Arrangements
Observers and flying squads were deployed to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. To prevent cheating, the use of mobile phones and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices was strictly prohibited, and signal jammers were utilized. The examination proceeded entirely peacefully, and no untoward incidents of any kind were reported.

Immediately following the examination, the question booklet and answer key were uploaded to the official website, enabling candidates to cross-check their answers.
