Kewal Singh Dhillon, the Punjab State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held detailed discussions on various issues concerning Punjab’s development. Key topics at the center of the meeting included boosting investment in the state, accelerating industrial growth, creating employment opportunities for the youth, and ensuring the welfare of farmers and laborers.
According to reports, Dhillon apprised the Prime Minister of his priorities regarding the holistic development of Punjab. He emphasized the need for substantial investment to revitalize the state’s industrial sector. He stated that creating an industry-friendly environment through better coordination between the Centre and the State is essential for this purpose.
Issue Of Expanding Industrial Units Raised
During the meeting, Dhillon also raised the issue of establishing new industries and expanding existing industrial units in Punjab. He remarked that large-scale investment in the state would generate new employment opportunities for thousands of young people. Furthermore, it would strengthen Punjab’s economy, enabling the state to regain its position as a leader in industrial development.
He also drew the Prime Minister’s attention to matters concerning the welfare of farmers and laborers. Dhillon noted that both agriculture and industry play pivotal roles in Punjab’s economy.
