Kriti Sanon’s Rakhi Ad Removed After Controversy

A Rakhi-related advertisement of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has been removed after it was mired in controversy on social media and trolled and opposed on social media. Jewellery brand GIVA on Wednesday removed actress Kriti Sanon’s controversial Rakhi advertisement. In the advertisement, Kriti was seen wearing a bralette-style blouse, cape and draped skirt. She was also seen tying a Rakhi to a dog.
Some people had objected to the advertisement, after which a heated discussion broke out on social media regarding the matter. Kriti Sanon also faced criticism and trolling. The news of the advertisement being removed has come to light after the controversy escalated. However, the discussion on social media regarding this matter is still going on.
GIVA said, “As a brand, we have always believed that these happy moments should be celebrated with the entire family. This time, the aim was to promote love and celebration with pets. Our intention was not to hurt sentiments. If our recent advertisement has unintentionally hurt the sentiments of some sections of society, it was not our intention to do so. We have removed the advertisement from all media.” The brand also wished people love and positivity on the occasion of the festival.
