The govt. agency responsible for issuing identity cards, UIDAI, has made a big announcement. If you are currently using the old Aadhaar app on your mobile phone, you will now need to switch to the new version. From next month, the old app will be completely shut down and all tasks will be done only through the new app.
UIDAI advised users to immediately switch to the new Aadhaar app. The agency has said that the new app is smarter, significantly faster and completely secure compared to the old one. Till now, users had the option to use both the old and the new app for their convenience; however, from next month, the old app will stop working permanently. Therefore, it is important that all users download the new app on time to ensure that their services remain uninterrupted.
Special attention has been paid to security and privacy features within the new Aadhaar app. It includes a feature that allows users to securely share their information via QR code. In addition, users will maintain full control over their personal data.
