The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has now cleared director Vishnu Edavan’s much-awaited romantic entertainer ‘Hi’, starring Nayanthara and Quinn in lead roles, for release with a U/A certificate.
Taking to its social media timelines to make the announcement, production house Seven Screen Studios wrote, “A story that will steal your heart now has its date revealed. Censored with UA and on its way to theatres August 14! A @jenmartinmusic musical.”
The film, which is being jointly produced by Zee Studios South, The Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios, will also feature several actors including K Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika, Sathyan, Aditya Kathir and Qureshi.
Sources close to the film’s unit have told the story of the film revolves around three cities Chennai, Coimbatore and Pollachi. They also reveal that the film will be a family entertainer and will not have a villain.
For those unaware, Vishnu Edavan, who is making his directorial debut with this film, had earlier worked as an associate director to popular director Lokesh Kanagaraj in several projects including ‘Kaathi’, ‘Master’ and ‘Vikram’.
Director Vishnu Edavan had earlier commented about his film, saying that it will be a wholesome family entertainer that will talk about true love.
Expectations are high from the film as this will be the first time that actors Nayanthara and Kavin are working together.
The film, which has a strong technical team, will have music by Jane Martin and cinematography by Rajesh Shukla. The film will be edited by Samarth Philomin Raj and art direction will be done by Shekhar B. The dances in the film will be choreographed by Brinda while the stunts will be choreographed by Dinesh Kasi.
