Crores To Be Spent On Alien Suit Design For Akshay’s ‘Samuk’

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming science-fiction film is titled ‘Samuk’, with a reported budget of around ₹150 crore. While the film was initially slated to go on floors in August, production planning is currently being reworked due to the costs associated with an extensive UK schedule and a recalculation of budgets across various departments. According to sources, approximately 80 percent of the film will be shot in London and Scotland, with the UK schedule planned for a duration of two and a half to three months.
This schedule will encompass principal photography as well as technical recce, action choreography, equipment logistics, and coordination with the local crew. Kanishk Varma is set to direct the film, though there is talk of changes to the direction team’s composition; sources indicate that some current members might leave the project, while the inclusion of new professional teams is being considered. Hollywood creature-effects artist Alec Gillis is working on the film’s alien design, focusing on physical costumes and practical effects an aspect involving an expenditure of several crore rupees.
