PGI’s Advanced Eye Centre OPD To Shift
Find Out Where Treatment Will Be Available From September 22 Until Further Notice.
Due to fire safety-related work at PGI’s Advanced Eye Centre, the location of the walk-in OPD for eye patients has been changed. From September 22 until further notice, the walk-in OPD will operate on the third floor of the New OPD Block. According to the hospital administration, patient examinations and treatments will take place in rooms 3094 through 3105.
Fire safety compliance work is being carried out on the second level of the Advanced Eye Centre. Consequently, the walk-in OPD has been temporarily shifted to the New OPD Block. Arrangements for creating new cards for new patients and registering existing patients visiting the walk-in OPD have been made at the registration counters located on the ground floor of the New OPD Block.
Patients with eye-related emergencies will not need to go elsewhere. According to the hospital administration, the registration and examination of patients arriving with eye emergencies will continue to take place exclusively at the Advanced Eye Centre.
Specialty Clinics Will Also Operate Here.
All eye specialty clinics including those for retina, cornea, oculoplastics, retinoblastoma, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology will continue to operate within the Advanced Eye Centre. Registration arrangements for these clinics will also remain at the Advanced Eye Centre, just as before. The hospital administration has appealed to patients to visit the New OPD Block for the walk-in OPD starting September 22 and to use the designated counters for registration.
