‘Golmaal 5’ To Release Next January

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty announced on Saturday that the fifth film in his “Golmaal” franchise will bring “laughter and joy” to cinemas on January 8 next year. Rohit shared a spectacular poster of the film on Instagram. The poster features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Khemu riding the famous stretched-out motorcycle.

Filming for ‘Golmaal 5’ began in March of this year, featuring a cast that includes Ajay, Akshay Kumar, Arshad, Shreyas, Kunal, and Sharman. The film’s shooting began on producer Rohit’s 52nd birthday. Expressing his excitement, the director remarked that the first ‘Golmaal’ film which changed his life was released 20 years ago.

He added: “The credit for this goes to you, my audience. Over the past 20 years, we have entertained you and yes, sometimes even disappointed you but we have always remained honest in our work.” “So now, once again, my wonderful team and I have set out on a journey to entertain you as we begin shooting for ‘G5’. You have always given me love and support. We simply need your blessings. See you in the cinemas.”

The first film in the ‘Golmaal’ series, released in 2006, starred Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad, and Sharman, alongside Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal. Following this film, four sequels were released: *Golmaal Returns* (2008), *Golmaal 3* (2010), and *Golmaal Again* (2017).

Ajay, Arshad, Tusshar, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, and Mukesh Tiwari played key roles in all these films; additionally, Shreyas Talpade appeared in three of them, while Kunal Khemu and Johnny Lever appeared in two each. Akshay is joining the franchise for the fifth film.
