The makers of director Thambidurai’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Cold Call’ announced that the film will release worldwide on September 18 this year.
‘Cold Call’ features four newcomers Sidhu Moolimani, Sri Vaishnav, Santosh S.A. and Krishna Vijay Chandran as lead actors. The film will also feature other actors including V. Srikanth, Balaji Rajasekhar, Amita Ranganath, Nisha Hegde and Keerthana.
Giving details about his film, director Thambidurai said that the story of ‘Cold Call’ revolves around the lives of salesmen.
“Sales reps are very much a part of this society. The screenplay of Cold Call is based on incidents from their (sales reps) daily lives. It will present these incidents as comedy and good entertainment,” revealed the director, who added that the Gen Z audience, who came to watch the film in theatres, will be able to connect with the story and enjoy it.
The story is the story of four friends who work as sales reps, and their romance, conflict and comedy are collected in two hours of entertainment.
The film has a good technical team. The cinematography of ‘Cold Call’ is done by G.N. Saravanan and is assisted by cinematographers Gagan and Karthik Raja. The film’s music is composed by Pranav Giridharan. The film’s editing is handled by Suresh Arumugam.
The film is co-directed by Shyam Easwar and Nitin Sam Reginald. Interestingly, Nitin Sam Reginald has also written the dialogues of the film along with Balaji Rajasekhar, Thambidurai and Nuthan. The stunts of the film are choreographed by Jaguar Snappa while the lyrics of the film’s songs are written by Pa Aravindan and Armius. The sound design for the film is by Kovai Film Studio.
