Haryana Employees To Receive Specialized Treatment At Hospitals In Punjab

A Major Haryana Government Decision

The government has taken a significant step toward improving healthcare facilities for Haryana government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. Now, Haryana government employees, pensioners, and their family members will have access to medical treatment facilities at four prominent hospitals in Punjab.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved this proposal put forward by Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao. Aarti Rao stated that the Haryana government has empanelled four prestigious hospitals in Punjab for medical treatment purposes. These include the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Mullanpur (a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai); the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Sangrur (also a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai); the Regional Spinal Injuries Centre, Sector 70, Mohali; and the Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Phase 3B1, Sector 60, Mohali. Advanced treatment for serious ailments including cancer, spinal injuries, and liver-related diseases is available at these hospitals.

The Health Minister remarked that this decision has been taken with the objective of providing superior specialized medical facilities to the state’s employees and pensioners. Often, specialized hospitals are required for the treatment of serious illnesses; by empanelling these institutions, patients will be able to receive the highest quality of medical care in a timely manner.

According to the directives issued by the government, in the event of any emergency, disaster, epidemic, or situations involving an overcrowding of patients in government hospitals, these empanelled hospitals will also provide facilities such as ambulances, ICU/CCU services, burn units, general wards, beds, and mortuary services, as and when required.
