The Roar Of ‘Suryakiran’ To Resound In Chandigarh’s Skies
Air Show On March 27-28; Book Your Seat For ₹100

The Indian Air Force’s renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team is set to perform thrilling aerial maneuvers in the skies over Chandigarh on March 27 and 28. Seats can be booked for ₹100, and ticket bookings have already commenced.
The performance by this team Asia’s only nine-aircraft aerobatic formation promises to be spectacular. The event will also feature a special local connection to the city. Wing Commander Tejeswar Singh, the Deputy Leader of the aerobatic team, will be part of this formation. He is an alumnus of the 2005 batch of Army Public School, Chandimandir, a fact that further enhances the local significance of this event.
29-year-old Flight Lieutenant Kanwal Sandhu is playing a pivotal role in coordinating the entire program from the ground. Serving as the team’s commentator and administrator, she will convey every detail of the aerial maneuvers to the audience in a precise and engaging manner. Kanwal Sandhu is a resident of Panchkula.
Ticket Bookings Open
To witness this grand air show, spectators can book tickets for just ₹100 via the Chandigarh Tourism App. Ticket bookings began on Tuesday. All tickets for the show scheduled for the first day, March 27, have already been sold out. There is an atmosphere of immense excitement among the public to watch this show.
For the convenience of the public, the administration has arranged for CTU buses to operate from seven designated pick up and drop off points across the city. The final pick up time for these buses has been set for 9:00 AM. According to the administration, entry to the air show venue will be strictly via passes. The daily capacity of the venue Sukhna Lake has been capped at 10,000 spectators.
Entry Of Private Vehicles Restricted Around Sukhna Lake
To ensure smooth traffic management, the entry of private vehicles in the vicinity of Sukhna Lake will be prohibited. The designated pickup points include Manimajra Railway Station, Manimajra Dussehra Ground, Sector-17 Parade Ground, Sector-25 Rally Ground, Sector-34 Mela Ground, Kalagram, and IT Park.
The Chief Secretary has requested visitors not to bring children under the age of six, to carry only transparent water bottles, and to refrain from bringing any kind of food items.
