Self-Acceptance Is True Spirituality – Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan is candid, carefree, and immensely talented. She has carried forward her family’s legacy in acting and proven her mettle. Acclaimed for various roles, she received great praise for her performance in her recent film, Metro… In Dino. Currently, she is making headlines for her upcoming film, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2. In this exclusive conversation, she spoke openly about spirituality, her future life partner, her mother, trolls, and her candid nature.
Sara is one of the actresses in the industry known for her spiritual journey; she is often seen offering prayers at temples, dargahs, and gurudwaras. Speaking about her spiritual path, she says, “Yes, I am spiritual, but it is also essential to accept yourself. You can achieve this however you choose through your parents, your workouts, or any other path but accepting and being at ease with oneself is crucial. You see, that is my personal life. I feel better after visiting temples, dargahs, and gurudwaras, which is why I go there frequently. I find great peace in the mountains. Sometimes those mountains are associated with religious sites, but the mountains themselves always draw me in.”
If I Could Become Even A Fraction Of The Person My Mother Is, That Would Be A Huge Achievement.
Throughout her career, Sara has played the roles of a wife and a lover in various films. When asked what kind of person she would want as a life partner, she smiles and says, “I am looking for a good human being. If you are a good person, you can win me over. To me, the definition of a good person is someone who is content with themselves, confident, and passionate about their work. That is what matters to me.”
“It would be great if there were other qualities too, but the timing has to be right.” Sara Ali Khan gets emotional when speaking about her mother, Amrita Singh; everyone knows the pivotal role her mother plays in her life. She tends to get a bit emotional when discussing her. In her own words, “I feel we are all in this world because of our mothers. I hope that I can become even a fraction of the person my mom is; that would be a huge achievement. She is my strength; she is my life.”
Only An Unemployed Person Would Engage In Trolling
Like many other artists, Sara often finds herself targeted by trolls. She frequently faces trolling on social media, but she has now learned how to deal with haters. She says, “I do believe that for the sake of accountability on social media, users should submit their Aadhaar cards or other official documents. However, I also know that isn’t going to happen. Since it won’t, it is easier for me to regulate myself rather than trying to regulate others. It might sound harsh, but the person doing this is likely unemployed and unhappy with their own life, which is why they are saying such absurd things.”
I Am Not An Insecure Actress
Generally, whenever an actor works in a multi-starrer film, the question of how much screen time they will get inevitably arises. Does Sara harbor any such insecurities? Addressing this, she says, “I never feel insecure about these things. My philosophy is simple: you need to believe in yourself and in your director. You must have faith that you can do justice to your character. At the same time, you have to focus on everyone doing their job well so that the film benefits.” “It is essential for actors to have that sense of security and confidence. Before *Pati Patni Aur Woh 2*, I worked on a multi-starrer film like *Metro…*, and even then, I didn’t focus solely on my own role. I never feel that I must work only in films where I am the sole female lead.”
