Political Clash Over E20 Petrol Policy Intensifies

The country’s politics has once again heated up over the E20 petrol policy. Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal has announced that he will march to the Prime Minister’s residence with a 100-member delegation on Tuesday, August 4 at 12 noon and will hand over to the Prime Minister a petition containing the signatures of about 2 lakh people collected during the campaign against the E20 policy. Kejriwal said that this is not a matter of any political party, but of the voice of the common people of the country.

He alleges that due to the E20 petrol policy, additional financial burden is being placed on ordinary vehicle owners and many vehicle drivers are also complaining that the performance of their vehicles is affected. He demanded from the central government that all scientific and technical studies conducted regarding the E20 policy be made public, so that the questions arising in the minds of the people can be answered in a transparent manner. Kejriwal warned that if the government ignores the concerns of the people, the struggle against this policy will be intensified.
