
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set a goal to contest the upcoming elections for all 117 assembly seats in Punjab and form the government in the state. The party’s National General Secretary (Organization), BL Santhosh, made this announcement during a regional meeting in Patiala. He stated that Punjab is ready for change and the BJP is determined to make it a reality.
Santhosh has arrived in Punjab for a two-day organizational visit. He was welcomed at Mohali Airport by State President Kewal Singh Dhillon and Co-in-charge Narendra Singh Raina. During his visit, Santhosh is reviewing organizational activities through regional meetings with BJP leaders and office-bearers across various parts of Punjab.
Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections are also being discussed in these meetings. The primary focus is on strengthening the organization down to the booth level. Simultaneously, the party’s policies and the achievements of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being conveyed to the people of the state. Santhosh presided over organizational meetings in Patiala and Bathinda today. Regional meetings are also scheduled to be held in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Amritsar on August 25. A separate meeting with state general secretaries is also proposed in Amritsar.
Emphasis On Organizational Preparations
The main objective of these meetings is to review the functioning of the organization across different regions of Punjab. Special emphasis is being placed on solidifying organizational preparations at the grassroots level. Enhancing mutual coordination and further boosting the active engagement of party workers are also among the goals of these meetings. This move by the BJP signals a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the state.
BJP’s Strategy in Punjab
The party aims to form a government with an absolute majority in the state. This strategy for the upcoming assembly elections will serve to energize party workers. It is also a crucial step towards acquainting voters with the party’s policies. The BJP is committed to bringing about change in Punjab.
