“This Time, People Will See A Slightly Different Side Of Me” – Rithvik Dhanjani

Rithvik Dhanjani who is always seen smiling on TV, putting others at ease, and turning every difficult moment into a joke will this time be seen grappling with fear himself. In fact, Rithvik is set to participate as a contestant in *Khatron Ke Khiladi 15*. However, the interesting twist is that, prior to joining *Khatron Ke Khiladi 15*, Rithvik is making no attempt to fit into a “macho” persona.
In a recent exclusive interview, he stated clearly that if he feels fear, it will show. Rithvik spoke candidly about his game plan, his fears, the stunts, and his practice of meditation. “I just want to stay real.” Speaking ahead of his entry into *Khatron Ke Khiladi 15*, Rithvik admitted that he still suffers from a fear of heights. He remarked, “Heights have always been a bit of a trigger for me. I’m not the kind of person who pretends for the camera that nothing fazes me.
If I’m scared, I’m scared and I’m not going to hide it. I feel that audiences today are very quick to spot anything fake. So, I haven’t come here to play the superhero. I just want to be real. If a stunt leaves me shaken, then so be it. If I panic, that too will be visible.” When asked if he intended to use this show to change or break any existing public image, the actor replied, “I don’t want to break any image because, to be honest, I’ve never confined myself to a specific image in the first place.
However, people usually see me laughing and cracking jokes. This time, perhaps they will get to see that other side of me the side that goes quiet, feels fear, and battles with itself.” To maintain his composure during the show, Rithvik is relying not on motivational speeches, but on meditation; he firmly believes that the real battle far more than the physical stunts themselves takes place within one’s own mind.
This time around, there will be plenty of drama and fun on the set. Speaking of the other contestants, Rithvik remarked in a humorous vein that Harsh (Gujral) is already a friend, and he knows that the two of them are going to get up to a lot of crazy antics together. It is going to be a lot of fun with Jasmin (Bhasin) as well. There will be less drama and more fun on the set. When asked what would hurt more losing a stunt or freezing up in fear in front of everyone he replied that one’s ego could take a hit in either scenario. However, it would likely hurt even more when you end up disappointing yourself.
