Actress Nidhi Shah, who rose to popularity playing the character of Kinjal in the TV show *Anupamaa*, is now all set to step into the digital world. In her upcoming OTT series, she will be seen in the role of ‘Vedha’ a character Nidhi is incredibly excited about, describing it as “extremely special.” Nidhi shared that she thoroughly enjoyed trying something new and stepping out of her comfort zone. Praising her new character, Vedha, Nidhi Shah explained, “Vedha is very passionate and ambitious.
She inhabits a world where power and survival matter above all else. The most intriguing aspect is how she navigates these challenges while still retaining her own identity.” For Nidhi, this digital debut has proven to be both thrilling and challenging. The actress further added that while the audience showered her with immense love in her role as Kinjal for which she remains deeply grateful Vedha is a character of an entirely different mold. “She is strong, multi-layered, and her backstory is distinct. As an actor, I wanted to explore a new facet of my craft.” Nidhi also highlighted the operational differences between working in television and on OTT platforms.
According to Nidhi, TV production schedules are typically fast-paced, whereas the OTT format allows actors to slow down and focus on the finer nuances of their performance. “The storytelling approach is far more subtle and true-to-life something I thoroughly enjoyed. This has undoubtedly been the most unique character I have portrayed to date.” It is worth noting that Nidhi Shah played the role of Kinjal in Rupali Ganguly’s TV show *Anupamaa*. This series, starring Rupali Ganguly in the lead role, is an immensely popular show and serves as a remake of the Bengali series *Sreemoyee*. Nidhi’s portrayal of Kinjal garnered immense love and appreciation from the audience.
