SIR In Chandigarh! BLOs To Conduct Door-To-Door Visits Starting June 15

Voter Data Collection Drive To Run Until July 14

The enumeration phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the photo electoral rolls in the city will commence on June 15 and continue until July 14.

During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit households to distribute and collect enumeration forms from voters. Chief Electoral Officer Prerna Puri shared this information during a press conference.

The Chief Electoral Officer stated that there are currently 516,427 registered voters in Chandigarh. All forms required for the enumeration phase have been printed and are ready.

Two copies of the enumeration form will be provided to each voter, and BLOs will assist them in filling out the forms. If a house is found locked, the form will be left there, and the BLO will make at least three follow-up visits.

Voters can submit their filled-out forms to their respective BLOs. Additionally, forms can be submitted online via the ECI-Net mobile app and the Voter Service Portal.

The Election Department has requested voters to provide mapping details related to the Special Intensive Revision of 2002-03. If this specific information is unavailable, details regarding parents or grandparents may be provided instead.

The Election Department has appealed to political parties, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), educational institutions, and citizens to participate actively in this process. Assistance can be obtained by calling the voter helpline at 1950. The Chief Electoral Officer has urged voters to submit their enumeration forms within the stipulated timeframe.
