Thrills In The ‘City Beautiful’! Fighter Jets Form The Tricolor At Air Show

The ‘City Beautiful’ is abuzz with excitement. People are thrilled to witness the roar of fighter jets and their aerial maneuvers. A two-day air show commenced at Sukhna Lake. The Air Force’s ‘Suryakiran’ team performed spectacular stunts in the sky. Using fighter jets, they formed the shape of a diamond as well as the English letter ‘A’. The Tricolor was also depicted in the sky.

A massive crowd gathered to watch the show. There was light drizzling throughout the morning; however, this had no adverse effect on the event. The administration has arranged open-air seating facilities at Sukhna Lake for those attending the show. Entry was strictly denied without prior booking. The lake will remain closed to the general public until tomorrow afternoon. An NDRF team was deployed to keep a watchful eye on birds flying in the airspace.

During the air show, the entry of private vehicles into the lake area and its immediate vicinity will be completely prohibited. Only emergency services and authorized vehicles will be permitted access. The administration has appealed to the public not to bring children under the age of six to the event. Additionally, the elderly and individuals with health conditions have been advised to avoid the crowds.

Private Vehicles Not Permitted

For the purpose of the show, the entire city has been divided into seven zones. Visitors are not permitted to drive their private vehicles directly to Sukhna Lake; instead, bus services have been arranged to transport people to the venue. Attendees are required to select a specific pick-up point when applying for their passes.

These designated pick-up points include the Railway Colony Ground (Manimajra), Dussehra Ground (Manimajra), Parade Ground (Sector 17), Rally Ground (Sector 25), Mela Ground (Sector 34), the Parking Area at Uppal Society (Manimajra), and the Parking Area at the Lalit Hotel (IT Park).
