Aviation company Dunes Aviation has filed a defamation case of Rs 3 crore in a Gandhinagar court against Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi. The company alleges that Nora’s ‘derogatory and irresponsible’ comments have damaged its reputation and business.
According to the case, Nora had made a video inside a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft while flying from Mumbai to Jaipur in December last year. While sharing this video on Instagram, she addressed the aircraft with words like ‘chhota’, ‘toy’ and ‘Lego airplane’. Dunes Aviation claims that Nora’s statements led to some of its bookings being cancelled and adversely affected its business.
The company has demanded a public clarification and apology from Nora and removal of all allegedly objectionable statements and content related to the aircraft from social media. The matter will be heard in the court of Senior Civil Judge R. Agarwal on September 25. The company has said that Nora’s comments have affected the company’s reputation due to her large social media following.
