Thousands of users are reporting the issue on DownDetector, a website that tracks internet service outages. According to users, the apps for these platforms are not loading properly, and some are unable to refresh their feeds. The problem began at 7 PM Indian Standard Time.

Users started reporting the outage on DownDetector shortly after 7 PM. Reports indicate that the issue is not confined to a single country; users across various nations are affected. Many users in India are also facing similar problems.

Apart from DownDetector, users are reporting similar issues on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Users state that Facebook and Instagram are failing to load correctly. Some report that content within the apps is not refreshing, while others say they are unable to log in to Meta’s social media platforms. Additionally, other features are not functioning as expected.

Interestingly, not all users are affected by this problem. Some report that the websites for Meta’s social media platforms are working fine, whereas users of the mobile apps are facing difficulties with loading and feed refreshing. According to reports, the issue stems from Meta’s backend systems. Some users have also reported facing problems with the Facebook Messenger app.
