The ‘Mirzapur’ franchise, which has been ruling the hearts of the audience for a long time, is now going to come out of the OTT world and hit the big screen. Actress Shweta Tripathi will once again be seen in ‘Mirzapur: The Film’ as her popular character Golu Gupta. Ahead of the film’s release, the actress shared many things about her character’s journey, her experience with the franchise and the audience’s love. She said that Golu’s character has changed a lot over time and has traveled from a girl to a strong woman, who goes through emotions like strength, pain, revenge and ambition, moving forward from the understanding of right and wrong.
Shweta Tripathi said, “When we started shooting for Mirzapur about eight years ago, none of us thought that this journey would be so long and special. As an artist you always want your work to reach people, but rarely does a show become a part of people’s conversation, mess, celebration and their language. Mirzapur has done it.” The audience not only liked the story, but also felt a deep connection with its characters. People still know me as Golu Didi more than my real name.” Regarding the expansion of ‘Mirzapur’ in the form of a film, Shweta said, ‘It is not just an attempt to bring a series on the big screen, but it is the result of the love of the audience, who considered this story and characters their own for many years.

She said, “Golu ka safar has been very emotional. In the beginning, Golu was such a girl who went along with her understanding of right and wrong, but circumstances gradually changed her.
