
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a significant decision regarding board exams after reviewing the current situation in some countries in West Asia, i.e., the Middle East. The board stated that changes have been made to some Class 10 and Class 12 exams in light of the situation in the region.
This decision has been made for countries where CBSE-affiliated schools operate. These include Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The board has issued an official circular regarding the new exam arrangements in these countries.
Class 10 Exams Cancelled
According to the CBSE, all Class 10 exams scheduled from March 7 to March 11, 2026, have been cancelled. Additionally, exams scheduled for March 2, March 5, and March 6, 2026, which were previously postponed, will also be considered cancelled.
The Board has also clarified that information regarding the basis on which the results of Class 10 students in the Middle East region will be declared will be released separately.
Class 12 Exams Postponed
The exams scheduled for March 7, 2026, for Class 12 students have been postponed for now. The CBSE has stated that the new exam date will be announced later.
Decision On Further Exams Soon
The Board stated that the situation will be reviewed again on March 7, 2026. Further instructions will be issued regarding the upcoming Class 12 exams scheduled from March 9, 2026.
Students Advised To Stay In Touch With Schools
CBSE has advised Class 12 students to stay in constant touch with their schools and monitor the Board’s official announcements. This will ensure they receive timely information on new exam dates and other important information. The Board has also stated that students and parents should rely only on official information for any updates.
