Major Announcement By Punjab Government: Significant Benefit For 85,000 State Employees
Dearness Allowance (DA) Raised From 42% To 60%

In a move providing major relief to state employees, the Punjab government has made a significant announcement regarding the Dearness Allowance (DA). This announcement, made by Punjab government minister Aman Arora, will result in a direct increase in the salaries of thousands of state employees.
Substantial Hike In DA
All employees who joined duty after July 17, 2020, will now receive a Dearness Allowance (DA) of 60 percent. Previously, these employees were receiving only 42 percent DA; this marks a direct increase of 18 percent.
Direct Benefit To 85,000 Employees
This government initiative will benefit approximately 85,000 employees in Punjab, leading to a substantial rise in their salaries.
Parity With Central Government Employees
Minister Aman Arora also clarified that the Punjab government is fully committed to providing its employees with salaries and Dearness Allowance (DA) on par with central government employees. This move is being hailed as a major boon for the staff, offering them significant financial relief ahead of the upcoming festive season.
