Bollywood actress Shivangi Verma is currently in the news for the web series Hasratein Season 3. The actress’s episode is titled “Midnight Bride,” in which she plays a widow. In an interview, Shivangi explained that “Hasratein” is already a very popular series and she has been a fan of it. So, when she got the opportunity to be a part of Season 3, it was a dream come true.

She said, “I am extremely grateful to the makers for choosing me for this series and showing faith in me. This project is very close to my heart.” The actress described her character as a stark contrast to her true personality. In real life, she is very modern, fashionable, and stylish, whereas in the show, she plays a widow who is portrayed with the conservative expectations of society.

She said, “Society often puts pressure on widows to avoid makeup, avoid colorful clothes, and live simply. Playing this character made me realize that simplicity holds a unique beauty.” Shivangi explains that during the shooting, she made every effort to accurately portray the character’s emotions and circumstances.

She said that despite being challenging, this role taught her a lot. After the show aired, she received overwhelmingly positive feedback, which she considers a major milestone in her career. Shivangi, who is serious about her work, says that the story is of paramount importance to her. If the script is emotionally charged and gives her a chance to shine as an actress, she commits to the project with complete dedication.

She said, “With a good story, I forget everything else. I’m especially drawn to female-centric characters because such roles have many dimensions of emotion and expression.” Speaking about her future plans, Shivangi shared that she has a strong desire to work in romantic thrillers. Apart from this, if she gets an offer for a strong biopic, she would definitely like to do that too.
