Punjab And Haryana CM’s & Governor’s Arrive

Second day of the Suryakiran Air Show at Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh. On this second day of the show, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini were in attendance. The Governors of both states also arrived to witness the event. Compared to the first day, the turnout on the second day of the air show was double.

Flight Lieutenant Kanwal Sandhu of the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team expressed his sentiments, stating, “Today, we feel immense pride and joy that the grand finale of the Suryakiran Air Show took place in the skies above Sukhna Lake, and the public thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We hope that we have successfully fulfilled our team’s mission to inspire the youth to join the defense forces.”

While the first day’s show filled the entire city with excitement, the event also gave a new direction to the dreams of young girls. Witnessing the breathtaking aerial maneuvers performed by the daring pilots, a spirit of national service was awakened in many female students, prompting them to resolve to become pilots themselves.

The Chandigarh Administration provided school children with the opportunity to attend this air show. Special permission was granted to bring 50 students each from four government schools to the venue. Children from ‘Snehalaya’ also participated in the event. From young children to teenage girls, enthusiasm and pride were visible on every face. Even the young children from Snehalaya expressed their desire to become pilots. Appreciating the administration’s initiative, teachers remarked that such events provide a new direction to children’s futures; they boost self-confidence and inspire children to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.

As the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team performed their aerial acrobatics during the air show, the entire atmosphere resonated with thunderous applause and cheers. This thrilling spectacle infused a new surge of energy, particularly in the hearts of the young girls present. Many female students declared that they, too, now aspire to become pilots and bring glory to the nation. No Longer Just a Dream—It Has Become a Goal

Tarana, a student at a government school, stated that she had always aspired to join the defense forces, but watching this air show has further bolstered her resolve. “Now, I will prepare with utmost dedication and, by becoming a pilot, bring glory to the nation. The participation of girls in this field should definitely increase.”

Conquering Fear; Giving Wings To Dreams

Student Sadia shared that the air show has reinforced her dreams. “I used to have a fear of heights, but after watching today’s show, that fear has completely vanished. Now, I will certainly fulfill my goal of serving the country.”

The Dream Of Wearing The Uniform Grows Stronger

Bharti expressed her desire to join the Indian Army and eventually rise to the rank of Colonel. “If the opportunity arises, I will definitely join the Air Force. This air show has inspired me to become a pilot.”
