
Gold and silver prices have increased. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased by Rs 1,703 to Rs 1.54 lakh. The price of one kilogram of silver has increased by Rs 2,531 to Rs 2.36 lakh. In the first 17 days of August itself, gold has become expensive by Rs 11,000 and silver by Rs 18,000.
It is noteworthy that this year there has been continuous fluctuation in the prices of gold and silver. Gold has become expensive by Rs 21,000 so far. On December 31, 2025, the price of 10 grams of gold was above Rs 1.33 lakh, it has now reached ₹1.54 lakh.
Silver prices have increased by ₹6,000. The price of silver was ₹2.30 lakh per kg on December 31, 2025, and is now ₹2.36 lakh. During this period, gold reached an all-time high of ₹1.76 lakh and silver reached ₹3.86 lakh.
