India To Host BRICS Youth Ministers And BRICS Sports Ministers Meeting

India holds the presidency of BRICS countries in the year 2026. Under this, an important meeting of the ministers of youth and sports affairs of BRICS countries is being organized in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. During this two-day program, sports ministers of 11 BRICS member countries and various representatives will discuss several important topics. The main objective of the meeting is to reiterate the shared commitment to strengthen mutual cooperation in the field of sports.
The theme of BRICS for the year 2026 has been “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”. It reflects a people-centric and humanity-first approach. These meetings will be chaired by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, while Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Rakhi Khadse will also participate in the proceedings.
According to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the BRICS Youth Ministers’ meeting will focus on further strengthening mutual cooperation for the development and empowerment of youth. During this, topics like education, skill development, entrepreneurship, welfare and sustainable development will also be discussed. At the same time, the BRICS Sports Ministers’ meeting will be attended by Sports Ministers of 11 member countries and heads of various delegations. The meeting will discuss cooperation in the field of sports and future joint initiatives.
