Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, welcoming the Himachal Pradesh government’s decision to withdraw the hike in the entry tax levied on vehicles from outside the state.
Writing on the social media platform ‘X’, Warring stated that the Himachal government has provided significant relief to the public by restoring the entry tax rates for vehicles from other states including Punjab to their previous levels.
Under this decision, substantial relief has also been extended to residents living within a five kilometer radius of the border shared by the two states. Residents of these areas will now be issued free entry passes to enter Himachal Pradesh.
