Chief Minister’s Wife Files Defamation Case Against Three Politicians

The Chief Minister’s wife has filed a defamation case against three politicians. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has filed a criminal defamation case in court against Akali leaders Bikram Singh Majithia and Harsimrat Kaur Badal, as well as Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira, for leveling false allegations against her.

She filed the complaint in a Chandigarh court under Sections 210 and 222 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, which pertain to offenses under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
