The first look of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming romantic drama ‘Love & War’ has been unveiled, showcasing Bollywood superstar Vicky Kaushal in an intense avatar. Sharing the poster featuring Vicky’s first look on Instagram, the makers wrote: “Eyes will meet, but won’t look away! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ – January 21, 2027.”

The actor brings a distinct sharpness and a commanding presence to his character. ‘Love & War’ will be released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Starring Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky, the project has now entered the post-production phase ahead of its theatrical release in January 2027.
The release of ‘Love & War’ was initially announced for Christmas 2025. The release date was subsequently postponed; while March 20, 2026, was previously announced, the makers have now confirmed January 21, 2027, as the new release date.
Ranbir Kapoor’s first poster for the film was released on September 24. In the poster, Ranbir appears in a rugged look; there are bloodstains on the sleeve of his shirt, and a bullet wound is also visible. The actor wears a serious expression, accompanied by the caption: “That stature, that aura, that passion! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ coming January 21, 2027. This film marks a reunion between Ranbir and Sanjay Leela Bhansali; Ranbir previously made his Bollywood debut in 2007 with the filmmaker’s movie ‘Saawariya’. Alia has previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, whereas ‘Love & War’ will mark Vicky’s first collaboration with the director.
As for Vicky, he was last seen in “Chhaava,” a grand historical action film based on the life of Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. This film, based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel ‘Chhava’, is directed by Laxman Utekar.
