AAP’s Election Bugle In Punjab: First List To Be Released On Saturday
Major Decision Taken At Key Meeting In Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sounded the poll bugle for the Punjab Assembly elections. A strategy meeting regarding the distribution of tickets was held in Delhi, where it was decided that the first list of candidates for the Assembly elections would be released on Saturday, October 31, around 12:00 PM. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared this information.
It is understood that priority will be given to those aspirants who have already won Assembly elections twice. Many of them may be considered for a third consecutive term.
AAP Has 94 MLAs
The party aims to be the first to release its list of candidates a practice it has followed in previous elections as well, announcing its nominees ahead of other political parties. In the 117-member Legislative Assembly, the AAP currently holds 94 seats.
Starting November 1, the party is also launching a special campaign to garner support among female voters and strengthen its position. Women leaders and party workers have been tasked with conducting door-to-door outreach to highlight the achievements of the AAP government including the ‘Maavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’ (a scheme for the welfare and respect of mothers and daughters) to build public support.
CM Mann has already begun campaigning, visiting various constituencies to hold ‘Lok Milni’ (public interaction) events. In the coming days, the AAP also plans to hold large-scale rallies across the state, which will be attended by senior leaders from Delhi.
In-Charges Appointed For All Constituencies; Party Gathers Feedback
Furthermore, the AAP is appointing in-charges for every constituency to strengthen the party’s standing at the grassroots level. Political circles suggest that by doing so, the party has begun to clarify the status of potential candidates in these constituencies, ensuring that the election campaign can gain momentum well in advance. Similarly, sector in-charges have been appointed across assembly constituencies to gather feedback from voters regarding the implementation of government schemes and the party’s activities. This feedback is being relayed to senior leaders on a daily basis.
Appointment Of Office-Bearers Across All Wings
Furthermore, the party is appointing office-bearers across all its wings. In addition to the women’s, youth, and trade wings, a large number of office-bearers are also being announced for the ‘Nasha Mukti Morcha’ (anti-substance abuse front). All these office-bearers have been instructed to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
