IndiGo To Resume Direct Flights Between Chandigarh And Dharamshala
This Direct IndiGo Flight Service Is Set To Resume On September 1st, After A 15-Day Hiatus
There is welcome news for travelers flying between Chandigarh and Dharamshala. The direct IndiGo air service connecting the two cities, which had been suspended for about 15 days due to inclement weather, will resume operations on Tuesday, September 1st.
IndiGo has released a new schedule for resuming flights on this route. Passengers will no longer be compelled to undertake long journeys by road.
IndiGo flight 6E 7722 will depart from Gaggal Airport at 1:10 PM and arrive at Chandigarh Airport at 2:15 PM. On the return leg, the flight will depart from Chandigarh for Dharamshala at 2:45 PM and arrive at Gaggal Airport at 3:50 PM.
Direct Flights Available Four Days a Week
According to the schedule, the Chandigarh-Dharamshala air service will operate four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The fare for the flight from Dharamshala to Chandigarh is set at approximately ₹3,200, while fares from Chandigarh to Dharamshala will start at ₹3,617. Fares are subject to change based on the date of travel and seat availability.
Road Travel Proving Costly
Following the suspension of air services, travelers commuting between Dharamshala and Chandigarh had to rely on road transport. This resulted in significantly longer travel times.
The greatest inconvenience was faced by passengers needing to catch connecting flights from Chandigarh to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. To ensure timely arrival in Chandigarh, they had to incur higher travel costs in addition to spending more time on the journey.
