In less than a month since its release, it has grossed ₹100 crore worldwide. Samantha expressed her happiness over this milestone by sharing the film’s poster and a video on Instagram.
In the video, her husband, Raj, asks if she wants to see something interesting; she replies in the affirmative. Upon unlocking the iPad Raj hands her, she is astonished to see the film’s global success. At the end of the video, a smiling Samantha says, “We’ve hit the ₹100 crore mark.” Sharing the video, Samantha wrote about her thoughts prior to the release: “Before ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ was released, I kept wondering are people even talking about the film?
Is the promotional material reaching them? Do they know the movie is coming out? Would anyone watch a ‘heroine centric’ film?” She continued, “A friend of mine called an exhibitor from a ‘B-center’ (smaller market) cinema unaware that I was listening in. My friend asked, ‘What do you think about ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’? How do you think it will open?’ The exhibitor replied without hesitation, ‘Who would watch a heroine-centric film? If she were in a big male star’s movie, that would be different; people know her for glamour.'” “But a female-led film? Who would come to watch it? No one.” That was the prevailing mindset before the release of *Maa Inti Bangaram*.

Samantha further wrote, “I believe real change happens only when someone is willing to take a risk. Most of the time, those risks don’t pay off. Sometimes, they do. In our case, it did. I hope this marks the beginning of something big.”
