13 Rounds Fired From Automatic Pistol; Cashier Killed

A broad-daylight shooting incident has occurred in the city. The incident took place at At Kumar Medical Store in Sector-11, near PGI. Three miscreants arrived on a motorcycle; two of them entered Kumar Medical Store and opened fire using automatic pistols. Thirteen rounds were fired within a span of just a few seconds. The cashier, identified as Injured, died after being hit by the bullets.

Injured was a native of Rohru village in Himachal Pradesh, and his wife is the village Sarpanch. The gunfire caused a stampede in the market, which houses the highest number of medical stores in Chandigarh. After the shooting, all three miscreants fled the scene.

The police have sealed off the entire area and set up checkpoints across the city. Police officials have arrived at the crime scene and are conducting an investigation. It is reported that the cashier was involved in a dispute with someone, and the attack was allegedly carried out due to this enmity.

Meanwhile, the incident is also being linked to an extortion case. Rajiv Garg, the owner of Kumar Medical Store, had previously received extortion threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
