Important News For State Bank Of India UPI Users
Services May Be Down For 45 Minutes On September 4

State Bank of India (SBI) customers may face some difficulties in UPI transactions on the night of September 4. The bank has announced that SBI UPI services will be temporarily suspended from 12:15 pm to 1:00 am due to scheduled maintenance.
SBI said that the maintenance work may be completed before the scheduled time. The bank has advised customers to use UPI Lite for essential payments during this period. Customers can also keep options like debit card, net banking, or other bank accounts ready.
UPI Lite allows users to make payments up to ₹1,000 without entering UPI PIN for each transaction. The maximum balance is ₹5,000.
The daily limit for standard UPI transactions at SBI is ₹1 lakh, though the limit is higher for some categories. The limit is up to ₹5 lakh for payments like IPO, tax payments, hospital, school and college.
The bank has urged customers to complete any urgent payments before 12:15 midnight. SBI UPI services will resume as usual after the maintenance is completed.
