Diljit Dosanjh’s Indore Concert: Ban Imposed On Performing Certain Songs

Following the events in Delhi, significant news has emerged regarding singer Diljit Dosanjh’s live concert in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Diljit Dosanjh will not be permitted to perform four of his songs during the concert. These include “Patiala Peg,” “5 Tara Theke,” “Jeb Vichon Afeem Labhi,” and “Jatt Fire Karda.”

The District Child Protection Officer has issued an important directive in this regard. On November 6, the District Child Protection Officer part of the Department of Women and Child Development in Indore sent a letter to the event management team, stating that the lyrics of these songs could have a negative impact on young children. Consequently, arrangements must be made to ensure that these songs are not performed during the concert.

It is worth noting that this action was taken following a complaint filed by Professor Pandit Rao Dharennavar from Chandigarh. Diljit is currently on his “Aura India” tour; following his show in Delhi, this is now his second show in India, taking place in Indore.
