Drop In Gold And Silver Prices Today
Silver Becomes Cheaper By 9,000 And Gold By 5,000 This Month

A decline has been recorded in the prices of gold and silver. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold (10 grams) has dropped by ₹1,129 to ₹1.51 lakh.
The price of one kilogram of silver has decreased by ₹2,862 to ₹2.28 lakh. Notably, silver has become cheaper by approximately ₹9,000 and gold by ₹5,000 this month. On August 31, the price of gold was around ₹1.56 lakh, and the price of silver was ₹2.37 lakh.
Continuous fluctuations in gold and silver prices have been observed this year. So far, gold has become costlier by ₹18,000. On December 31, 2025, the price of 10 grams of gold was ₹1.33 lakh; it has now reached ₹1.51 lakh. Additionally, the price of silver was ₹2.30 lakh per kilogram on December 31, 2025, which has now dropped to approximately ₹2.28 lakh. During this period, gold reached an all-time high of ₹1.76 lakh, and the price of silver touched ₹3.86 lakh on January 29.
