Haryana Congress Protests In Support Of Students
Police Detain Leaders Marching To Gherao Governor's House Haryana

The Haryana Congress launched a massive protest in support of students, starting from the party’s office in Chandigarh. As the protesters set out to gherao the Haryana Governor’s House, the Chandigarh Police detained the Haryana Congress leaders. The protest saw the participation of Haryana Congress in-charge Sanjay Dutt, State President Rao Narendra Singh, around 20 MLAs, and other party workers.
The police detained the leaders, placed them in a van, and took them to the Sector-17 police station. Congress workers sat on the road and raised slogans. The MLAs also staged a sit-in protest on the road, shouting slogans against the government regarding the students’ issues. The protesters adopted an aggressive stance while voicing their demands in support of the students.
Congress leaders stated that they were forced to take to the streets because the government is not serious about the students’ problems. The party has been continuously pressuring the government on this issue.
