Applications Open For IAS Coaching At Panjab University
Entrance Exam Scheduled For August 6; Check Details Regarding Seats And Fees
The Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations at Panjab University has initiated the application process for the IAS (Preliminary) batch starting in August 2026. This coaching program is designed to prepare candidates for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. Interested candidates can apply online until 5:00 PM on July 31.
According to the revised schedule, the entrance exam will now be held on August 6, and the merit list of selected candidates will be released on August 7. Regular classes will commence on August 17. A total of 70 seats are available for this four-month coaching program. Of these, 54 seats are reserved for the General category, 11 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 5 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Students who have graduated or are in the final year of their undergraduate studies in any discipline are eligible to apply.
The entrance exam will follow the pattern of the UPSC Preliminary Examination, featuring 75 multiple-choice questions. The application fee is set at ₹200 for the General category and ₹100 for SC/ST categories. The course fee is ₹26,000 for the General category and ₹13,000 for SC/ST categories; 18% GST will be charged additionally on these amounts.
