The makers of the highly anticipated romantic comedy ‘Coimbatore Mappillai’ directed by Kishore Rajkumar and starring Anna Ben and Kishore Rajkumar in the lead roles announced on Friday that the film will be released in theaters worldwide on December 24 of this year.
‘Noise and Grains,’ a company known for organizing some of the largest and most successful cultural events in the Indian entertainment industry, has ventured into film production with ‘Coimbatore Mappillai.’
The film, set to hit theaters globally on December 24, will be released in Tamil Nadu by ‘AGS Cinemas.’
The film will feature several prominent artists, including K. S. The cast includes Ravikumar, Ponvannan, Viji Chandrasekhar, Seethappu Saravanan, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Lollu Sabha Manohar, CWC Monisha Blessy, WhatsApp Mani, and Nakkalites Ranjith.
Speaking about the film, director and lead actor Kishore Rajkumar said, “We completed the shooting for ‘Coimbatore Mappillai’ in just 29 days. While many films feature overweight individuals in comedic roles, this film presents a person with a heavy physique as the lead character (protagonist). I am glad that I played this role myself. The film has been crafted to appeal to audiences of all backgrounds, allowing families to enjoy it together.
From start to finish, the film offers non-stop laughter and entertainment.” He further added: “This is a story filled with romance and humor. The screenplay has been crafted to ensure a very pleasant and delightful experience for the audience. This vibrant film focuses on compatibility within relationships, with a special emphasis on the female lead. I am delighted to have worked with the immensely talented Anna Ben. I extend my heartfelt thanks to ‘Noise and Grains’.” Notably, the team had previously worked with director Kishore Rajkumar on the film *Naai Sekar*, which starred actor Sathish in the lead role.
The choreography has been handled by Brinda Master, while the art direction was overseen by Shashi Kumar K. The costumes for the film were designed by Kiruthika Sekar.
