Ayushmann Khurrana’s Film ‘Udta Teer’ To Now Release On October 23

The makers of the upcoming film ‘Udta Teer’, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, have postponed its release date. Originally scheduled for October 9, the film will now hit theaters on October 23.
The film’s producers released a new poster featuring the updated release date. This decision was made to secure a better release window and optimal theatrical prospects, avoiding the risk of a screen shortage in an overcrowded market.
This move aims to ensure a better audience turnout in cinemas, particularly as films like ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ and ‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest’ will have completed their theatrical runs by then. This film is a blend of patriotism and comedy, and reports suggest that Suhail Nayyar will be playing a negative role in it.
Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana had shared details about the film. He said, “My film ‘Udta Teer’ features a very unique story. I would say it is India’s first patriotic comedy film, in which I play a Pakistani spy who loses his memory while in India.”
He added, “In the film, my character begins fighting for India. In a way, he retains the spirit of patriotism but forgets which country he actually belongs to. So, it is a truly beautiful story.”
In ‘Udta Teer’, Ayushmann plays the role of a Pakistani spy named Bilal Ahmed who loses his memory and comes to believe that he is Indian. He had previously said, “Every new director brings a different energy to the set. What attracted me to ‘Udta Teer’ wasn’t just the film’s genre, but the world Akash had created.”
He added, “It is rare to come across a script that is simultaneously chaotic, funny, and emotional, while also being rooted in a larger idea. I wanted to embrace that vision and let the character take me to a place I hadn’t expected.”
