The first poster for director Haroon’s highly anticipated investigative thriller, ‘Buried’, has been released. The film stars actor Vetri in the lead role; he is known for his performance in the critically acclaimed action movie ‘8 Thotakkal’.
Director Haroon shared the film’s first poster on his social media accounts. The poster shows Vetri dressed in police trousers and a formal shirt, holding a revolver in his right hand.
It is worth noting that the filmmakers had previously announced the completion of the shoot back in February of this year.
Sources close to the film’s team state that ‘Buried’ will be an investigative thriller in which Vetri will be seen playing the role of an ‘encounter specialist’. ‘Buried’ is being produced by Haroon and Mohinder Kumar under the banners of ‘Dream House’ and ‘Jain Creations’. Haroon has written the story and is also directing the film; he is previously known for directing the film ‘Web’.
Hyderabad-based actress Akshitha and Chandini Tamilarasan, who has worked in several Tamil films, are the lead actresses in this investigative thriller.
Apart from the lead actors, the film will feature several other stars, including Balaji Sakthivel, Singam Puli, Saravana Subbiah, Jensen Divakar, and Kodangi Vadivelu.
Sources from the team state that the story of ‘Buried’ focuses on the challenges faced by an encounter specialist police officer due to his profession, the impact on his family members, and how he overcomes these challenges. A strong technical team is working on this film. John Robbins, who has composed music for several albums, is handling the music. K.V. Kiran is in charge of cinematography. Velu, who worked as an assistant art director on films like ‘Kantara’, is heading the art direction department, while Don Bosco has been entrusted with the editing. The choreography for the film has been done by Richie Richardson.
Renowned director Arunraja Kamaraj has sung a song for the film, which is produced by executive producers Captain M.P. Anand and K.S.K. Selvakumar.
The film has been shot in locations such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Yercaud, and Kodaikanal. Sources indicate that the producers will soon announce the film’s release date.
