UAE Bans Social Media For Children Under 15
Children Will Not Be Able To Use Instagram – Facebook!

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has banned social media for children under 15. This was announced on Thursday. With this, the UAE’s name has been added to the list of countries like Australia, Britain, Malaysia and Canada, which have banned the use of social media for children. Many countries of the world have taken this decision in the last few months.
According to the UAE Cabinet proposal, social media platforms will have to monitor the accounts of children under 15 years of age. Social platforms will have to close accounts opened by children by stating the wrong age. For this, companies have been given 12 months to ensure that the system and methods for implementing it are fully ready.
The proposal has set the minimum age for using social media at 15 years. Children under this age are prohibited from creating or operating personal accounts on social media platforms. They are prohibited from using the features of such platforms, including social interaction, commenting or use of interactive spaces.
