Singer Jasbir Jassi Makes A Big Statement After The Film ‘Sutlej’ Was Banned!
Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has made a big statement after the sudden ban on the film “Sutlej”, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. Coming out in support of the film, he said that the ban on the film is a bigger blow than the one on Khalra sahab.
He further said, “I used to think that Punjabis are not allowed to make such films or talk about such things, but now, if they are not allowed to even mention them, then it is a big blow. This will be a bigger blow than the injustice done to Khalra sahab. The people who are doing this should be ashamed.” However, he said that he does not know why the film has been banned.
He said, “This is a Bhai Ghanaiya Ji-like subject. When a person sacrifices his life for the service of humanity, regardless of his family or his own life, then he is a true hero. Khalra Sahib was one such hero.” It is very unfortunate to ban a film featuring such a person.
