Golden Opportunity To Get Names Added To Chandigarh’s Voter List
Special Camps To Be Held Over Five Days Starting Today

Following the release of the final electoral roll after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the Chandigarh Administration is launching a special drive to include the names of eligible citizens who were previously left out.
As part of this initiative, special enrollment camps will be organized at the city’s polling stations from October 7 to October 11. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at the polling stations from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist eligible citizens with the enrollment process.
The campaign will place special emphasis on youth and first-time voters. BLOs will compare the pre-SIR electoral roll with the current list to identify voters who were previously listed but are currently missing. They will also conduct door-to-door visits to ascertain the current status of such voters.
Lists of voters categorized as Absent, Shifted, Dead, or Duplicate (ASDD) prepared during the SIR will also be made available. If found eligible, individuals will be assisted in filling out Form-6 to get their names added.
Booth-wise lists will be provided to the Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of recognized political parties to facilitate the identification of eligible voters who may have been missed. Young people will also be encouraged to register through Electoral Literacy Clubs, SVEEP activities, and public awareness campaigns in educational institutions.
According to the administration, Form-6 can be filled out for new voter registration, Form-7 for name deletion or raising objections, and Form-8 for address changes, details correction, or EPIC-related modifications. Voter services are also available via the ECI Net app and portal. For assistance, one can contact the voter helpline at 1950.
